Dr Chris Hardwicke
Graduated from University College Hospital Dental School, University of London 1983 when sedation and general anaesthesia were still being taught as part of the undergraduate curriculum. After hospital appointments throughout the UK, Chris opened his own dental practice in West Yorkshire, UK, before deciding to migrate to Australia. After 2 days as a new migrant, he was working in a long established sedation orientated practice in Canberra which he subsequently purchased and then added two other dental clinics, as part of the group within the Canberra region. Chris completed the Diploma in Sedation in 1990 and has offered sedation since then. Currently he is working with another graduate of the program, in continuing to offer sedation to the Canberra community and ensuring that the provision of sedation remains ongoing for future generations.
He has been a member of ASDA since completing the Diploma, completed his ARC ALS2 training, is a staunch supporter of the organisation and committed to the training and support of dental sedationists throughout the country.
Outside of dentistry, Chris has served with the governance and management of several national entities, professional, charitable and sporting, and looks forward to bringing that experience in support of the ASDA Council in representing the interests of the membership and the practice of dental sedation in Australia.
